I had a template header here that reminded me of the sugar cane fields in South Florida during the rainy season but decided to use my own instead.
I hope you’ll take the time to watch my little introduction video.
This will be somewhat of a journal and a ‘journey’ through blog-world and we’ll see where it goes. But my plan is to share short videos with you and have you send small videos to me of your backyard that I can incorporate into my website for others to see as well. Here’s one of my granddaugher when she visited me.
I’d like to know what you love about your own backyard. Or, what you dislike about it.
Neighbors too close? Too much noise or traffic?
Is your backyard a serene environment that lends opportunity to reflect the day’s adventure?
Or is your backyard a place to send your kids to get them out of the house? And, if so, how do they spend their time there?
Does your backyard consist of a garden? Flower or veggies? Do you have woods or wide open spaces?
What do you love or hate about your backyard? Let me know through the comment section or through the website.
I LOVE my backyard. We live on a lake and I have lots of trees in the backyard. Our breakfast nook overlooks the lake and we see lots of beautiful birds. The best part is that this sanctuary is in a regular housing development.
Thanks for contributing to the blog, Ginger. When my late husband and I lived in Tampa, we had a lake in our backyard (Lake Magdelene). I loved it – all except for mowing the slope that went down to the water’s edge. It was very private.
We had a lot of ducks; and fish that came up in the shallow part. When the sun was shining just right, you could see the schools of fish. We also had a couple of alligators in the lake that croaked at night. It was fun.
